The Catastrophic Injury Management Practicum presented by Dr. Ken Yoshinoa is designed to help team doctors, athletic trainers, coaches and school nurses respond to on-site sports-related emergencies. It also provides valuable CEUs for certified athletic trainers. The course objectives are to improve the efficiency of the on-site Emergency Response Team (ERT), learn and practice guidelines for treating heat illnesses, spinal injuries and cardiac arrest and to provide hands-on, timed drills, simulating real-life, high-stress situations. Thank you to Zoll Medical for providing AEDs for this event!
